Learning for Life's Elementary Program now has a new feature. A CD-ROM interactive game called Super Safe is available for participants in grades 3-6.
The CD-ROM comes packaged with the newly revised curriculum released for Fall 2002. Each CD-ROM has two age appropriate versions. One version is for students in grades 3 and 4 while the other can be used in fifth and sixth grade classrooms.
Each version presents six areas:
Students are given situations in each area where they are presented with two decisions, but only one is "Super Safe" choice. Each choice has a consequence that is immediately presented. Students must make the Super Safe choice to continue with the next situation. Most of the six areas ends with a summary page and parent notes that teachers can print and send home.
Teachers have the ability to set the availability to the six areas for students. This way, classroom teachers can decide which of the six areas students can play at any time.
Super Safe is designed to supplement the character building features of the Elementary program.
